Reed Van Dyk

In the early days of the Iraq War, a split-second decision made by a U.S. Marine during a tense standoff devastates an Iraqi family. Years later, aided by a New Yorker journalist, he seeks to reconcile with the family he destroyed.

The Conservatory follows four high school seniors (and one pushy mother) as they battle each other and two hundred other hopefuls for a few coveted spots at the ultra-competitive Delaware Musical Theatre Conservatory

Follows the fraught dynamic between a lonely boy and his mother within the home that may feel more like a prison to them both.

Inspired by an actual 911 call placed during a school shooting incident in Atlanta, Georgia. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film at the 90th Academy Awards in 2018.
