A story about a very special summer in a life of twelve years old Mishka.

Old age is what awaits us all. But some just live their lives, while others live without noticing years. Our hero - an artist - a painter, a man who is not discouraged. He is 79 years old and still romantic. He had four wives and did not count how many “muses”. And he wants to fall in love again and only then die. The main thing for him is the love of painting and of course the love of life.

In a small town there are no mysteries, lively events or attractions, apart from the smooth tracks of the railway, which hide real life and fairytale emotions beyond the horizon. The train to the capital, which passes through the town every day, seems to Katya and Oxana to be part of a different world, full of wonder. One day an unexpected message from the Moscow express alters the routine life of the two friends.
