My Hero is a BBC sitcom created by Paul Mendelson. The programme ran for six series, first broadcast in February 2000, and concluding in September 2006. The series follows the antics of the dim-witted superhero "Thermoman", portrayed by Ardal O'Hanlon in series one to five and by James Dreyfus in the final series. The series was regularly directed by John Stroud. In the UK, the digital channel Gold regularly re-runs the programme, although the last series has yet to appear on the channel. In the United States it was shown on PBS and, briefly, BBC America. In Australia, UKTV offered re-runs of the first three series, while BBC Entertainment provided repeats for Scandinavia.

Five haunting visions of the future collide in this gripping sci-fi anthology where technology spirals out of control, society begins to collapse, and humanity is pushed to its limits.

Rob is grief-stricken following the death of his girlfriend Nina, but after a failed suicide attempt he begins to move on from the tragedy and falls for his colleague Holly. Holly loves Rob and tries to help him through his grief – even if it means contending with Nina, who comes back from the dead, bloody and broken, every time they make love.

In a future where prejudice has forced mixed-species families to flee their homes, a daughter tries to reunite with her father by breaking down the barrier that separates them.

Plagued by hallucinations, a traumatised young woman seeks out a famous therapist, only to discover he’s seeing things too.

An unromantic comedy about a man who has to masturbate a talking black and white bear.
