The film is set in a world where traditional gender roles between women and men are reversed. Bitirim Leyla and Sarı Leman are the tough, street-smart women of their neighborhood. While Leman works in a factory, Leyla makes a living through small-time scams on the streets. Leyla cheats on her husband with a young man from the neighborhood, while Leman spends her time with male prostitutes. However, the lifestyle they lead eventually draws both women into crime.

Kendinden Kaçak tells the story of three friends who are sent to prison for a crime they did not commit. Atakan, Fatih, and Bilal, who are addicted to computers, miss out on life because of their obsession. The three young men, who lose touch with the world while playing games, find themselves in prison after a theft that occurred near them is pinned on them. Believing that a major conspiracy has been orchestrated against them, Atakan, Fatih, and Bilal can no longer endure the pressure from prison warden Arif, the tense prison environment, and the tension among the inmates. They decide to escape and uncover the conspiracy against them. Though it is difficult, the three friends manage to escape, only to find themselves in unexpected situations. As Atakan, Fatih, and Bilal uncover the answers to their questions, they realize that nothing is as they had imagined.

The Pelesenk family lives a modest life in Istanbul. The youngest daughter, Gizem, graduated at the top of her class and has applied to various companies for jobs. The father, Şenol, opened a small electrical shop with his son Sertaç after retiring, even though he didn't understand much about the business. Conjoined twins Halim and Selim have led a carefree life in their small village but, unable to find suitable brides, journey to Istanbul in search of marriage prospects.

The film tells the story of a political criminal after his release from prison. Hüseyin is sent to prison for a crime he committed while he was a university student. His fiancée's brother, Yadigar, is also wanted for the same crime. Hüseyin sends Yadigar to his brother Aziz's house for help. However, while helping Yadigar, Aziz is shot and killed. Years later, a pardon is issued, and Hüseyin is released from prison. Upon returning home, Hüseyin will try to rebuild his life.

Ali is a journalist who conducts unsubstantiated interviews. While taking photographs for a story about aliens, he comes across a flying saucer. Out of it comes Homoti from the planet Homon. Homoti does not want Ali to report on him because he does not want to be recognized in the world. However, when journalists soon learn of his existence, they compete for the news. Cazibe is a woman in her late thirties, who has never got married or had a relationship with a man in her life. She lives with her old mother and her uncle who feels an attraction towards her. The lonely woman, whose only existence is her small room, spends all her time in this old room, dreaming and fantasising about her ex-lover.

The villagers squeeze Güney, Derya, and her family for information, trying to learn if the rumor they heard is true. Fun and amusing events break out as Güney proposes to Derya, Seda hovers around Güney, causing chaos, and the villagers take sides as treasure hunters and hoteliers.

Derya is angry with Güney. Güney consults imam Suphi on the issue and the imam refers him to Deniz. Seda does not give up on her love. She buys a caravan and settles in the village and begins to gather information about Derya. Seda finds out that Derya is not Sadri's daughter. Showing the file, Seda tells Güney that the family is a swindler and Derya is not Sadri's own daughter. They are all shocked.
