Juan Antonio Gálvez

In the first century A.D. Carthago Nova is a splendid city of the Roman Empire. The Albino prosperous family is obliged to enter into competition with the mighty Lucio Andro to achieve the award of works. A conflict that will last for several years and that will worsen with the economic decline of the city and the popular revival of gladiatorial games.

Juan, a political activist from the 1960s, arrives on Tabarca, a Mediterranean island, with Simone, a fellow activist and friend. He is trying to escape both the police and his comrades, who consider him a traitor for having killed Casanovas, a double agent whose true nature only he knows. Once on the island, Juan adapts to a closed, provincial world, becoming entangled in a web of intrigue, jealousy, and revenge.
