During her university years, A-ran wanders the night streets in emotional distress after a painful breakup. She is sexually assaulted by Do-hyuk’s juniors using scissors. Cho-hye begins an investigation into the mysterious death of her husband but, as the people she interviews start turning up dead, the police begin to suspect that Cho-hye may be their prime suspect.

After 10 years of marriage, Sun-young and Tae-yeon save up a significant amount of money. Tae-yeon runs a food processing company and works hard to expand business but Sun-young wants to enjoy the fruits of their labor. While partying with her friends, she meets fashion designer Pierre Kang and has an affair with him. When her infidelity is found out by her husband, he asks for a divorce. When he refuses to forgive her, she seeks it through suicide.

When a young nobleman drowns while visiting their shore, the superstitious villagers go to the local shaman asking him to perform a rite to marry a living woman to the dead man so he will not take revenge. The shaman refuses, claiming that the ritual can only be held every 10 years. The villagers ignore his warnings and attempt to perform the ritual themselves, but only succeed and calling disaster down upon their land.
