A hilarious comedy of errors starring Dolly Haas: Annie, the locksmith's daughter, and Georg, a car salesman, meet at the fair but quickly lose touch. Later, Annie is tasked by her father with delivering new locks to a countess's castle. At the train station, she is mistaken for the countess's niece, whose arrival is imminent. She is taken to the castle in a magnificent carriage and encounters Georg again, who is out for an unauthorized joyride in a stylish car. Each now believes the other to be extremely wealthy. When the real countess arrives at the castle, she enjoys playing along with the charade and poses as her own companion, with whom Count Egon falls in love. After the confusion is resolved, there are two happy couples.

During an early, unsuccessful attempt at climbing the Matterhorn, Edward Whymper finds himself rescued by an italian guide, Jean Antoine Carrel. The two men quickly build a friendship and agree to reach the peak together. However, local villagers ploto to divide the alliance of Whymper and Carrel and both men join rival teams as they set out in a race to conquer the mountain. A mountaineering drama based on the novel by Carl Haensel and inspired in the dramatic true story of Edward Whymper, who led the first successful ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865. There is another version of the film titled The Challenge, shot the same year in English.

The beauty's mere countenance inspires him to write a new operetta, which is very successful. Ottmar learns that his beloved is called Gloria and is the daughter of a general manager from Nice. In order to find out whether Gloria corresponds to his ideal image in reality, he hires himself out as a valet in her father's villa - incognito, of course.
