Following the dissolution of her 20-year marriage to a land developer, a middle-aged woman returns to her law practice and, plotting revenge, accepts as a client a young ecologist who has accused her ex-husband's company of corruption.

Teodoro, a Spanish engineer working as a professor in the United States, returns to Spain to enjoy a sabbatical year.

A group of people are recruited by the brain of a band of robbers to commit the theft of some gold bars. Each character has a particular problem why he needs the money, but all are pretty sloppy.

May 1, 1929. A decomposing headless body is found inside an abandoned wooden box in Madrid's Atocha train station. The victim is later identified as a Barcelona businessman that vanished six months before.
