Students who come to Yogyakarta to study, also have their first taste of love and sex. Three friends, Benny, Lesmono, and Larso find this out for themselves. Benny, a ladies’ man, introduces his friends to prostitution. Lesmono is secretly in love with Indri, but she falls into the hands of Benny. Benny, who takes life very lightly, manages to smuggle Indri into his room in the lodging house. When he goes home to Jakarta, Indri is anxious because she misses her period. Lesmono helps her to find a shaman who can perform an abortion. But when she goes to see a doctor, she finds out that she is not pregnant after all. Lesmono hopes to get Indri back but his hopes vanish when Benny returns and Indri goes back to him. Attempting to represent the teenagers’ psychological state in relation to love and sex; the film only manages to be jokey and shallow.

The story follows Erwin, who gets Peggy pregnant but refuses to take responsibility, claiming it was just a fling and citing Peggy’s past history of living together unmarried. Peggy refuses when asked to abort the pregnancy. Later, Erwin falls in love with Rosa, whom he also gets pregnant; this time he wants to take responsibility, but his parents disapprove. Eventually, Rosa dies while attempting to abort her pregnancy. Erwin then wishes to marry Peggy, but she refuses. Erwin pursues Peggy until he manages to win her back.

Arrogant photographer Yanto (Ray Sahetapy) all but ignores his pregnant wife, Lastri (Minati Atmanegara), leaving her at home with her parents while he carries on an affair with his new assistant, Yatti (Dian Ariestya). When Lastri catches the two having sex, a fight ensues and Yanto accidentally kills her. He and his mistress then bury the body to cover their tracks but Yanti's spirit vengeance-seeking returns. No wonder he is very violent at school, at home and in society. His relationship with Erena faces obstacles, particularly from Rafli's own family.
