The story shifts to Megat, Murni’s nephew, who encounters Ratih; as she attempts to cross a path, she is attacked by Benalu’s henchmen—a villainous group led by a one-eyed man who always wears black gloves. Along his journey, Megat meets two other young women, Seruni and Kumala, who are later revealed to be his own kin. Together, the four of them rescue the captive Murni and defeat Benalu.
