Amal Al-Agroobi

In typical Arab fashion and on the prowl for lady suitors, Roula invites Zeina and her daughter Reem over for an Arabic coffee matinee. When young Reem is encouraged to participate in a coffee cup reading ritual, she gets more than she bargained for. In true Lovecraftian fashion, the ritual goes awry – she can no longer unsee what she now sees; she can no longer unhear what she now hears, and things will never be the same again.

Half Emirati is a documentary that explores the social implications of being the offspring of a mixed marriage between a native of the United Arab Emirates and any other nationality. Five of these Emirati nationals share their experiences and stories about what it is really like to be only 'half' among those who are 'pure'.

Cidji lives in a world where ageing minds can be reversed and no one seems to understand him until he meets a like-minded friend.

When a religious mosque prayer caller begins to lose his voice, he looks for a replacement in his neighbor: a vocalist in a heavy metal rock band.
