A couple hires a professional digger (underground structure explorer) to help them find their friends, who mysteriously disappeared in the subway.

Lica, a woman with sight problems, gets a job at a company that makes paper flowers. After the sudden death of her father, she has to look after her brother and sister. However, soon after the funeral, her stepmother kicks the children out and Lica decides to live temporarily in her dead grandmother's house.
