He was born in Istanbul, Turkey. After studying Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, he worked as an assistant director in various feature films, short films, documentaries, and commercials. After that, he studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in the USA. His short film Bread (2012) was screened at nearly 70 international film festivals and won 13 awards. He received production support from the animation project "The Head" (2014) by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and the film was screened at nearly 40 international film festivals, winning six awards.
