Alexia is a young woman who comes from the countryside and is in love with a rich man, Paris, who is studying abroad. Her stepmother treats her cruelly and forces her to escape from home. Alexia finds herself in an isolated area by chance, where she is discovered by seven brothers who live together in a nearby house. The seven bachelors put her up and treat her like a member of their own family.

Paschalis Zoumpoulos, an otherwise decent family man and director of the house Frabalas & Co. belonging to his wife Corinna, is an incorrigible skirtchaser. His assistant Aristos covers as it can, but someday found himself in the dock because Paschalis stung a woman in the street. Madame X (Greek title: I Agnostos) is a 1954 Greek drama film directed by Orestis Laskos. It is based on the 1908 play by French playwright Alexandre Bisson (1848-1912). Thrown out of her home by a jealous husband, a woman sinks into degradation. Twenty years later, she is charged with killing a man bent on harming her son. The son, unaware of who the woman is, takes the assignment to defend her in court.

A precious golden cross and a regretful incident lead to a bitter conflict between a wealthy chief-shepherd and an impoverished young herder, who is about to lose his one true love forever. Will this mark the end of an ardent romance?

Thomas is a good but low intelligence man. He is in love with Urania, a widow, whose stingy husband Sotiris is over a year dead, as the ship he was sailing in, sunk. When Sotiris appears, explaining that he was hiding so as to get the life insurance money. Urania, who already has a love affair, convinces Thomas to murder him, pretending she is in love with him. Thomas indeed tries unsuccessfully. Everything is revealed when Sotiris discovers that the insurance money have been stolen and appears screaming during his memorial service. A trial ensues, where Thomas admits that he is not only an imbecile but 'an imbecile and a half'.

This is a short story about a great love between two young people who have loved each other since childhood. They overcome the various obstacles they encounter in life and manage to unite, but a sad misunderstanding separates them and leads the girl to suicide.
