Jimmy Marshall played a lazy drunkard with an overbearing wife, played by Florence McClain. The film contains a dream sequence where Marshall fantasizes about finding a magic lamp, which he uses to wish for liquor and a shack to sleep in.

Just imagine - picture in your mind, what would take place in a colored folks hotel, when all of the guests are having the kind of a good time no other but these awaiting a feast of fried spring chicken and hot biscuits being prepared by the big fat, black cook, the boss of the kitchen, when a blackhand letter is received from a discharged waiter threatening to blow up the place, and it is finally blown up.

Flossie is a lady, dusky and charming. Her admirers are numerous, but she experiences difficulty in deciding between Sam, the husky piano mover, and Jimmie, the dandy.

After getting kicked out of a vaudeville show for misbehaving, they decide to put on a show of their own.
