The nurse Emma arrives for her evening shift at a closed psychiatric facility. It's a day like any other. Colleagues are out sick, patients are dealing with acute problems and Emma and her colleagues must be creative to get the through the shift in the best possible way. Two smart city girls, Angelica (12) and Lone (9), are sent on summer vacation to stay with a couple of distant old relatives in an even more distant part of Jutland. The neighbors on the large pig farm are trying to get the two old people into a nursing home so they can take over the land. The girls don't like this, so they take up the fight to help their aging hosts.
