A pair of adventurers try to track down an ancient Aztec/Mayan/Egyptian/Apache horde of gold.

Bank robber Graham Dorsey spends a few hours with beautiful widow Amanda Starbuck, in which time his gang takes part in a disastrous holdup. Learning of his comrades' demise, Dorsey goes on the lam. Believing her short-term lover was killed by the law, Amanda decides to make the most of having had a liaison with the supposedly deceased desperado by writing a book about him. Much to his confusion, the still-living Dorsey watches as his name becomes legendary.

Melvin White, a neurotic, accident-prone cop who gets demoted to the night shift, secretly moonlights as the Unknown Comic, an anonymous stand-up comedian who performs with a paper bag over his head. When someone using the same guise commits a string of bar robberies in town, some begin to suspect that White is the culprit.

When one of their own dies, members of a motorcycle gang travel the country to take home the body of their recently deceased friend. The problem is, they must also outrun a pesky lawyer who is trying to bring the group to justice for breaking their probation.

A pair of detectives are assigned to investigate a murder, and discover a trail of corruption and criminal activity that leads right back to their own police department.

Danny Warren is a former minor-league shortstop that becomes a narc to uncover drug dealing in this situation comedy. Investigating at a high-school adult-education class, he falls for the tempting teacher. He joins a colorful group of characters that includes ex-cons, illegal aliens, and brain-dead baby boomers that cause more trouble than their younger counterparts. Swimming classes and wine tastings serve as background for a series of comic catastrophes.
