Chan Ying-Kit

The Story of Qin Xiang-Lian is a Hong Kong Chinese Opera musical starring Jackie Chan in a child role.

With China under control of a weak Emperor, two officials compete to steer the future destiny of the land. Chiu believes the people are the future of China, while the diabolical Tu wishes to grind the people beneath an iron heel. Tu decides to take out Chiu's family, but one lone infant escapes.

The heroine, Liu Yanniang, is a beautiful and virtuous woman who is in love with her husband, Wang Zhengtu. However, because of her disagreement with her sister-in-law, Yuhuan, who was unfortunately killed, Yaniang was mistakenly accused of murder by the king's mother and her husband's son-in-law. The governor of Suzhou, Mr. Yan Wentian, is very strict with the king, but just when he finds a clue, the witness is killed again. Yen is not satisfied with his efforts, but he realizes that the murderer has already come to his doorstep.

Pak coek gung's family rents the third floor of a tenement building. Due to the water shortage, Pak's porridge stall is difficult to operate. At that time, Ah Seng, the son of Pak, owed money to Cheung, the fat man downstairs. Cheung saw that the porridge stall could not operate, so he took away the license of the porridge stall. Through the discreet help from Ting's cousin Sai-kit who goes undercover as the traitor's house guest, a series of offensives are launched, resulting in heavy casualties in the Japanese camp. With pressure mounting on both sides, guerrilla leader Lady Spy No.1 entrusts the mission of bombing Ting's signal tower to Lam who will then lead the troop in retreat. The mission fails, leading to the arrest of Lam and Sai-kit. Laura puts her life at stake in order to accomplish the mission and before she expires, reveals herself to be their leader and names Lam her successor to lead the troop to its stronghold in the north. Zhou Mengdan and her fiancé Chen Luhua visit her aunt, Madam Chen, where Luhua unexpectedly reunites with Madam Chen's adopted daughter, Li Ke'er. Madam Chen suddenly passes away, which raises suspicions for Mengdan. Coupled with a falling out with Luhua, Mengdan moves in with Li Ke'er, only to find her daughter has died from poisoning, making Mengdan a suspect. Luhua's friend, Dr. Luo, investigates the case and, together with a private investigator, eventually uncovers the true culprit.
