Set against the summer of 1942, as war rages in Europe, the period comedy follows the family of a teenage boy who is away fighting at the front. The sociopathic army major rapidly forces them to abide by his insane obsessive rules and the family is pushed to absurd and devastating extremes in the name of love.

The final gasping death throes of a broken relationship are seen through the eyes of an anxious pet dog. Told from Fluffmeister’s point of view, we meet “Mummy” and “Daddy”, a desperately unhappy pair of thirty-somethings who have reached a point of no return as their marriage spirals out of control. Unable to stand the loss of all he holds dear, Fluffmeister decides to get involved, with disastrous results.
