Ushio thinks that this must be a murder, but according to Yamaji, who was at the scene before him, an eyewitness testified that Kou had jumped off the roof of the building, killing herself. Kou is someone who has lingered in Ushio's memory - as a suspect...

Nasu Kano, known as Nu, has a developmental disability. As soon as she was born, her mother abandoned her in a coin locker. One day, Nu meets Kazuma Kurosako, who has just been released from prison and was attempting to make money by selling substances near Nu's coin locker. Kurosako gradually become interested in Nu and began posting Nu's paintings on social media on a whim. When Kurosako is contacted by a famous overseas artist interested in buying a painting of Nu's, he initially wants to sell it for a high price for his own profit. As he spends more time with pure-hearted Nu, Kurosako gains a more selfless conscious. All of a sudden, Nu collapses from leukemia.

The story takes place over a 24 hour period. In the southernmost part of Japan, 20 fishing boats of an unknown nationality suddenly fire upon and occupy parts of the Hateruma archipelago. Members of the Japan Coast Guard are detained. Under the extremely tense situation, the Japanese government sends Aircraft Carrier Ibuki and an escort fleet to the area. Ryota Akitsu is the captain of the Aircraft Carrier Ibuki and Toshiya Niinami is second-in-command. It is now 6:23 am. and Japan faces one day which they never have before.

When radicals from Japan's Red Army took a woman hostage in the resort town of Karuizawa, Nagano in 1972, Officer Atsuyuki Sassa was put in charge of diffusing the situation. But the task had its challenges. Upon arriving in mountainous Nagano, Sassa had to compete with freezing winter temperatures, conflicting opinions between the Tokyo Metropolitan Police and the Nagano Prefectural Police, as well as public opinion to gain entrance to the lodge that held the single woman captive.

After a major conflict, Kazuma Washio (Hitoshi Ozawa) becomes the 6th boss of Tendokai, Kanto’s largest yakuza group. Wakagashira Date (Hideo Nakano) and Kurata (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi) secure casino rights from the government, but top officials are soon murdered, and Date is framed. The trail leads to Sanko-kai, a Kansai syndicate forming ties with a Korean underworld led by Myojin Akinari (Noboru Kaneko), brother of Washio’s old rival. Sanko-kai’s boss Onizuka (Hiroshi Fuse), who holds a grudge against Washio, launches a political and violent offensive. As Tendokai fights back to reclaim the casino rights, tragedy strikes—Okita (Yasukaze Motomiya) is targeted. Japan’s largest underworld war erupts again—what awaits at the end?

As Subaru slowly gets acclimated to the world outside his ninja training and learns the way of the Yakuza, Homare lurks in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike down his brother once again in order to achieve ninja supremacy.

Kyowa-kai Himuro and Marukami-kai Tsurumi are in a tense state of conflict. The conflict between the two groups intensified due to internal disputes between the Yokohama and Fujishiro groups. Meanwhile, Himuro's brother Akimoto, a member of the Marukami-kai leadership, dies of illness. With the deterrence of East-West conflict gone, tensions between the Kyowa-kai and the Marukami-kai reach a climax.

The Tohoku conflict erupts over a succession dispute within Aomori’s major Shinno organization, the Shobugawa-ikka. Kyowakai direct affiliate Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya) heads to Akita to quell the escalating violence, but an attack on Shin’yukai chairman Hirakawa (Hitomi Matsuda) plunges the situation into even deeper chaos. As Himuro tracks the movements of Norisaka, head of the Norisaka-gumi of the Shobugawa-ikka and the mastermind behind the unrest, the conflict shows no sign of slowing—pushing the Tohoku war toward a critical turning point.

After the death of the 12th-generation boss, Gunji Washio, the Naito Shinjuku Family attempts to rebuild under acting boss Kanemaru (Masaya Kato). However, a clash arises with the underboss, Reiji (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), who nominates Gunji’s successor, Taiga Washio (Haruto Ochiai), as the 13th-generation boss. This discord fractures the once-unified family. Adding to the chaos, the Tokyo Four Society, which had been held together by Gunji’s absolute leadership, falls into disarray. Shinjuku descends once more into a lawless battlefield of feuding yakuza factions. The conflict between Reiji’s sense of justice and Kanemaru’s vision of leadership traces its origins back to a tragic incident during the era of the 11th-generation boss, Kiryu Washio (Shinzo Horita).

Himuro (Yasukaze Motomiya), a direct affiliate of the Kyowakai, finds himself partially drawn into an internal conflict within the Tohoku Shinnokai. Himuro and Tamura of the Kyowa-kai discover that the conflict with the Marukami-kai involving the Yokohama Fujishiro-gumi is a secret maneuver between the Chinatown mafia and the half-grey group Kobura. Having discovered that they have a common enemy, the Kyowa-kai and Marukami-kai formulate a joint strategy, but Himuro and Tsurumi of the Marukami-kai are at odds over the dead Ryuji Munakata.

Raijin Ninomiya, president of the black-market lending firm ‘Gokuraku Shokai’. With his mother, Kin Ninomiya—who possessed a vast fortune of 80 billion—as the owner, he ran a business bordering on fraud, preying on the weak (!?) as his prey. One day, the Chief of Police becomes aware that 2.5 million yen in seized money is missing. He orders Shintarou and Koichi to bring the money in by tomorrow morning. Shintarou and Koichi are in big trouble. They then read an article about a pension fund embezzlement case involving 6 billion yen. The prime suspect of the pension fund embezzlement case spent most of that money, but he has 2.5 billion yen left.
