Those living with these conditions are often stigmatized, as their circumstances—which are not their choice—affect how they cope with daily life and integrate into society.

Through interviews, this documentary details the history of this island and graphically shows the hardship imposed on the community by the continued bombardment of Vieques by the U.S. Navy. The film also highlights the efforts waged by the residents against this injustice.
