A romantic fairy tale about how a castle lady found her lost son, who demonstrated rare bravery, kindness of heart and intelligence. He answered the White Fairy's difficult riddles and thus obtained a miraculous seed, which was to restore Princess Johanka's speech. He was also able to forgive the chamberlain's son for depriving him of the seed and never forgot the cottager Blažej, who raised him for years when he was deprived of his castle home by intrigue. Milena Medová, the author of many television fairy tales, managed to write an original story about human calculation, envy and resentment, but also, and most importantly, about wisdom, courage, the art of forgiveness, i.e. about qualities that should be valued.

The older of them, Jura, tries to earn some extra money in all sorts of ways other than honest work, while the younger Martin is an honest man from the bone and a hard worker to behold. We also meet poor Vojta, who catches birds, the beautiful and rich Eliška and robbers, but most importantly we understand that honesty will get you the furthest in life.

After her parents' divorce, Petra lives in her mother's new harmonious family in a small town. However, she feels that she was cheated of a lot when she was unable to spend two years in Cuba with her own father. Therefore, she welcomes her father's offer to move to Prague with him. She is especially attracted by his promise to help her get into art school. However, she misses the warm family atmosphere in Prague very much, even though her father's new wife tries to understand her. In a seaside village, fishermen have no catch and are starving. The bravest of them, Azmun, sets off to the land of the "sea grandfather" to help him. But the grandfather is angry because the fishermen have long since broken the agreement according to which they were supposed to throw small fish back into the sea. So Azmun is given tasks that he must complete in order to please the sea grandfather. He is helped by a magical fin and a clever girl. And Azmun promises that the fishermen will forever obey the laws of the sea and not just use it.

The coal miner Prokop complains about his fate. For some time now, evil forces have been ruining his coal mining work, and he is being haunted by witches. He decides to move out of the region. But the kind Stazka, the blacksmith's wife, won't let him. And he discovers that the queen of the witches is the missing girl from their village, Mařenka. How can the unfortunate Mařenka be saved from the spell and what has actually happened to her? Only a good deed by a person who once hurt her can save her. Such an act will transform the queen of the witches back into a pretty peasant girl.
