Caught by the Piutes, pony Express Rider Dick Carter falls in love with pretty Dorothy Earle, who belongs to that seemingly endless supply of white girls kidnapped in childhood and raised by Indians. Unfortunately, Dorothy is promised to Bud Osborne, described in a title as "a renegade white who dominates the simple minds of the savage horde." Does Dorothy succeed in taking her own life rather than face an uncertain future with evil Bud? Or does the stalwart Dick rescue her in time?

At the crook of a road leading to Success is the little hamlet of Sleepy Hollow. One day, the regular road is closed for repairs, and the detour forces traffic to pass through Sleepy Hollow on the way to Success. Passing through the town is Avarice and his beautiful bride Innocence who stirs the envy of the village blacksmith, Ambition. Paul intends to skip out, but Patricia persuades him to stay. When Kenneth Winster steals the purse money and abducts Patricia, Paul knocks out his opponent, chases Winster, recovers the money, saves Patricia, and wins his father's respect.
