Reed began acting in film and TV in 1985. He attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and is a UCLA graduate. He played Lt.Roger Chaffee in SAG winner, Apollo 13 (1995), Spicer in Sundance winner, Pastime(1990), Kevin McKane in Sundance favorite, Scotland P.A.(2001).
