Samuel, a widower, is taking care of his 7-year-old daughter alone. Overwhelmed and stressed out, he decides to isolate in a chalet he was renovating with his wife in the Italian Alps. Indifferent to the anger of locals who help police to hunt down migrants, he comes across a woman who fled Afghanistan. Samuel decides to help her reach the border, thinking it will take them a few hours. But an aggressive group of men comes after them…

Like all sixteen-year-olds, Leo prefers the company of friends, motorbike rides and music to school. When Citroën decides to pay back the Grenelle Agreements by requiring workers to work 3 hours overtime per week for free, Robert and some others see the possibility of a social movement.

2012, John Dalli, the European Commissioner for Health, is accused of corruption and influence peddling related to the tobacco industry. French Member of the European Parliament José Bové, maverick politician and prominent figure of the environmental party, suspects a setup by the tobacco manufacturer Swedish Match, potentially involving the President of the European Commission, José Barroso. Standing alone against all odds, he decides to investigate and unravel this story, which shook the foundations of the entire European institutions.

Mara, a travel journalist from Turin, and Luca Visconti, the owner of a refined hotel in Abruzzo, meet at the station and immediately like each other, ending up in bed together. However, the relationship will be complicated by an ungenerous article about Luca's hotel and a wife who is unwilling to let her husband go...

In 1956, Italy is trying to cheer up after the World War Two devastation. Fedele Cova, freeway society engineer, has a dream: build a long highway that link Milan and Naples. The challenge is extremely hard and for 8 years a lot of men work strongly, building a 755 kilometers highway, with 113 viaducts, 525 flyovers and 38 tunnels.

The Tuscan Giuseppe, after a lifetime spent working in a company in Biella, reaches the well-deserved retirement; but soon he is forced to confront the boredom of retired life.
