Using an ancient time portal, they travel back to the age of the dinosaurs to harvest the three ultra-powerful DinoTerra Crystals. Realizing the threat to the timeline, King Paddle Pop, Leona, and their companions chase them through the portal into the prehistoric world to stop the Shadow Master from claiming absolute power.

When the evil Shadow Master attempts to plunge the entire world into eternal darkness, Paddle Pop and his friends learn of a legendary artifact capable of restoring light: the Sun Crystal. To retrieve it and reverse an ominous magical eclipse, the heroes must embark on a dangerous magical quest to locate Prince Thunder and the magical elements hidden within the mysterious world of magic.
