ORF chief director Michael Kögler met the legend again 30 years after his multi-award-winning documentary “Die Franz Klammer Story”. Never-before-broadcast material from the ORF archives provides deep insights into the career and life of the most successful downhill skier in alpine skiing history.

After their circus goes bankrupt, old clown Pipo, trick rider Cora, and little Silvio are left penniless. They can't even afford to feed the animals they have left. Reporter Conny Meister immediately senses a touching story. Dairy owner Runkelmann, on the other hand, wants to take advantage of the circus's plight and buy up the land for a factory. However, he didn't count on the commitment of the neighborhood children.

A multicultural satire about the German guest workers and numerus clausus refugees in Austria, about the mysterious tension between German prepotency and feelings of inferiority and about the clash of cultures - told and performed by a single actor.

In this documentary, the ski legend and her companions look back on their career as a glittering winter fairy tale.
