As Told by Ginger focuses on middle schooler Ginger Foutley who, with her friends, tries to become more than a social geek.

Ginger wins a scholarship to a gellowship program for an entire semester. Her friends are sad at the thought of Ginger being gone for so long. Courtney is, too. Ginger is all stressed out over graduation. As if leaving a major part of her kid world behind isn't hard enough, Ginger is also scheduled to speak at the Lucky Junior High graduation ceremonies. That's when her normally absent father, Jonas, saves the day.
