Two rivals address the years of animosity that defined their careers and their shared dream of achieving greatness on the world’s biggest stage: the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

The trials and tribulations of those who breed exotic birds in the world of competitive poultry; three remarkably rich and diverse personalities who come together to compete in their shared passion to raise the perfect chicken. The film will follow the struggles and triumphs of these characters, along with a wide array of competitors-both human and chicken-from the Ohio National Poultry Show, considered the Westminster of Chickens, to the Dixie Classic in Tennessee.

OUTSIDER tells the story of Maury Ornest–– on track to be a baseball star when his world was derailed by mental illness. His schizophrenia devastated his life and that of his kin. His sister Laura struggled to understand Maury’s destructive behavior and the limits of her help as she fought to keep her beloved family intact. When Maury died at age 58, Laura discovered over 1400 paintings, sketches, and journal writings that revealed his rich, tormented inner world and demonstrated how painting had saved him. OUTSIDER unfolds visually through Maury’s art and through his writings, voiced by comedian Gary Gulman. The film presents a rarely seen, unvarnished view of a family’s painful journey with mental illness and captures an unexpected way they found connection.

The story of controversial rap duo Insane Clown Posse (ICP), their fans, and their ongoing struggle with the FBI in a landmark case that may be a bellwether of change for First Amendment rights in America.
