Fragments from a child's world with glimpses of the adult world.

12 year old Torgeir is dyslectic, and his best friend Asta is hearing disabled. Together they make up a fantasy world, when and his grandmother has told about kids set out in the woods back in old times.

This film tells the story of Karlsøya, a remote Island in the north of Norway. Karlsøya is a mixture of people from everywhere. All with their dreams and hopes for the future.

In this film, the common question of for or against whaling is circumnavigated by placing the activity in a more comprehensive context.
