Mihai Danu

Film inspired by a short story of the same name by Vasile Voiculescu. During the Second World War a Romanian army unit, isolated in a strange landscape, is visited by a German general. The disappearance of a valuable postage stamp - the head of a zebu - dating back to the sec. The disappearance of a valuable 19th-century stamp head - a 19th-century stamp head - during this visit creates a highly tense situation.

While visiting a museum, two siblings Ben and Kim a fierce electrical storm creates a passage between the real world and worlds within the paintings. They are magically whisked through time to the 1600's and find they must square off against a wicked magician and also locate a valuable jewel in order to return to the present day.

Three overlapping stories take place over the course of a week in Bucharest, with characters whose life paths intersect and overlap; often independently of their intentions to emmigrate from Romania, or to stay behind.
