James Perry McCaffrey (March 27, 1958 – December 17, 2023) was an American actor, best known for his voice role as Max Payne in the Max Payne video game series. Additionally, he had roles such as Jimmy Keefe on Rescue Me, Michael Payton / Joe Astor on Viper and Captain Arthur O'Breun in New York Undercover. A character actor with a nearly 40 year career appearing in over 100 projects including television, film and video games.
