Warsaw, 1909. Arthur Herling makes an assassination attempt on a Russian police official and his family. During the action, the officer's daughter is killed and his wife is maimed. The wounded militant is arrested. Tormented by remorse, Herling agrees to cooperate with the tsarist authorities as a provocateur. Into his cell comes Adam Tanski, suspected of having contacts with the wanted conspirator Andrzej Woyda. One day, while being transported in a prison ambulance, Herling kills the guards. Accompanying him, Adam urges him to escape to the mountains.

The package, which Krycki hides in the glove compartment of his car, contains four times more drugs than usual. A few minutes later he is stopped by the police. After a routine check, it turns out that the goods have disappeared. Krycki decides to ask his friends, Lukada and Ira, for help. They meet at the stadium where they trained together as children. They decide to find out who set Krycki up. Can their friendship withstand such a test? Who can really be trusted?

At the same time, however, he is on the verge of bankruptcy and tries to escape the country after being cornered by his creditors. Where is the borderline between the real world and our perception of it? What makes suffering meaningful and what is really important in one's life"?
