An Englishman commits adultery with a Sicilian woman.

Charmed by a pretty girl, Olive follows her on board a dirigible. There, he discovers the belle, named Pearl, has a husband. Never mind such an insignificant detail, Olive tells himself as the dirigible takes off with a stowaway among the passengers. Unfortunately a storm breaks and the captain, realizing that there are thirteen people on board, decides to sacrifice one of them. And guess who ? Olive, of course...!

Miarka is to marry a gypsy chief - whereabouts unknown. She and her tame bear live upon the estate of an old gentleman who tolerates them because of his interest in gypsies, and more particularly because he has a gypsy document which he cannot decipher. One day, the gardener, who is in love with Miarka, robs the master and sets fire to the home, making it appear that she is the guilty one.

Only when he expresses contempt for the name of Princess Beatrice Doriani for costing him his job does she realise that this is the same Captain whom she had sacked.
