Baldomero, a former boxer, faces a new reality after several years in prison. Filled with guilt and deep personal conflicts, he wanders aimlessly through downtown Quito, trying to recognize the places he once inhabited. He meets Amelia, a techno-cumbia singer and hopes to rebuild his life, but the ghosts of the past are more alive than ever.

Jaime falls dead abruptly, while he works on his field in the Ecuadorian Andean paramo. He is the newest victim of a deadly and mysterious disease that has struck his indigenous commune. as his body lies lifeless on the ground, his animal spirit emerges from his body. he wanders through the andean moors until he meets the spirit of his wife and together, they begin their journey to the land of the dead.

A creative dialogue between a painter and a filmmaker becomes an excuse to enter a strange, fantastic and new world for both of them. Like a rumor that announces a distant time, a ritual of images

Beyond the punches, boxing paints a complex portrait of life itself - its obstacles, the discipline, the commitment. With the stories of a child aspiring boxer, and a young amateur boxer, the film weaves a tale about the triumph of human spirit both in ring and in life.
