Recently escaped from reformatory, Reinaldo struggles to get by in the streets of Havana in the late 90s, one of the worst decades for Cuban society. Hopes, disillusionment, rum, good humor and above all hunger, accompany him in his wanderings, until he meets Magda and Yunisleidy, survivors like himself. In one or the other's arms, he will try to escape the material and moral misery surrounding him, living love, passion, tenderness and uninhibited sex to the limit.

After a tragic incident in which he kills his abusive stepfather, Elvis is sent to prison and separated from his childhood sweetheart, Yuli. Once released he is dragged into the sordid world of prostitution in Cuba and faces a critical decision: fight to win back Yuli's love or flee to the United States and start a new life.

Three stories, loosely inspired on short stories from classic Boccaccio’s Decameron, are connected by a creatively-bankrupt writer who offers money in exchange for original subjects.

Three simultaneous stories of social inclusion, led by a single mother of two autistic teenagers, a marriage trying unsuccessfully to have a child, and the father of a Special Olympics athlete.

A portrait of Havana in the middle of the whirlwind of the post restoration of US-Cuba relations. An impasse of uncertainty and vertigo, a feeling of time standing still while future flies away.
