Unbeknownst to the 19th-century Greek "primitive" painter Theofilos, other painters around the world at the time were also exploring non-academic subjects, focusing on the everyday lives of ordinary persons. In the U.S., the group of painters who chose such subjects were dubbed "the Ashcan school." Though Theofilos remained unknown in his lifetime, this biographical drama explores the painter's life from his birth on the Isle of Lesbos (Lesvos) in 1868 to the time when he developed his characteristic style, following his discharge from the Greek army.

When he loses his son from overdose, in his school, the outraged father will look for the villains responsible for the loss of his child. At the same time, a journalist covers the narrative report on drugs in schools. With her help, the father will discover the gang leader with whom traded smuggled drinks for himself.

"A Touch of Spice" is a story about Fanis, a young Greek boy growing up in Istanbul, whose grandfather, a culinary philosopher and mentor, teaches him that both food and life require a little salt to give them flavor. Fanis grows up to become an excellent cook and uses his cooking skills to spice up the lives of those around him. 35 years later he leaves Athens and travels back to his birthplace of Istanbul to reunite with his grandfather and his first love. This film is a social comment of the times, exploring issues that centre around relationships and what was allowed and what was not allowed at the time (early 60s) in Greece. There are sub-plots also, mainly relating to the life of the poor city dwellers, social injustice and seeming double standards. Aliki Vougiouklaki is a poor young girl dreaming of a better life and the "handsome prince on a white stallion" who will deliver her from her miserable existence. She meets and falls in love with a young man (Nikos Kourkoulos) who also falls in love with her, but things are not as simple as they first seem. His past comes to haunt them with tragic consequences. Vassilis Diamantopoulos is excellent as the half-crazed old captain whose life strangely echoes that of young Aliki.

Three young people have decided to rob the safe of the estate agent Thomas Christidis, whose office is in the center of Athens. The first of them is Ntinos, who is Christidis’ clerk, the second one is Stavros, Ntinos’ younger brother who works as a book representative, while their friend Michalis is a pirate taxi-driver. The robbery is successful, and they feel excited.

A promising civil engineer, Stelios, delays his marriage to his beloved Anna because he wants to marry off his sisters first. When Anna becomes engaged to a wealthy sailor and his plans for a major project are rejected, Stelios leaves for Kuwait to work. In an accident, he loses his sight and returns to Greece. Anna will wait for him—since she never married and remains faithful to him—and with the help of a doctor, Stelios will have his eyes healed. His luck has changed radically and the same man who initially rejected his plans will now hire him in his business.

A former teacher, Alexis Vergis, agrees to give private lessons to the young son of a wealthy family, but quickly realizes that the real reason he was hired is to help Anna, the boy's sister, who has suffered a nervous breakdown after the death of her fiancé. At first there was the theatrical adaptation, by Manolis Skouloudis, of the legendary Dreyfus Affair (an adaptation based on the novel by Emile Zola). It was then transferred to the cinema. The subject: the early 20th century and the military establishment, with the help of a money-loving and womanizing junior officer (Alekos Alexandrakis), accuses Captain Alfred Dreyfus (Dimitris Myrat) of treason, because he allegedly handed over secrets to the Germans. After a mock trial, where expediency prevailed, Dreyfus was convicted and imprisoned. However, Emile Zola firmly believes in his innocence and, through the press, fights a brave and effective battle, which will lead to the uncovering of the conspiracy and the restoration of the honor of the unjustly slandered captain.

The Fanouris broccoli is a traveling salesman who happens to looks amazing with the famous actor George Kartali, which creates a lot of tangles.

A biographical film about the great Greek politician Eleftherios Venizelos for the period between 1910-1927. The film highlights his vision of a Greater Greece and refers to important events in Greek history such as the formation of a government by Venizelos after the Goudi movement, his dispute with the King over Greece's stance in the First World War, the temporary his withdrawal from politics after his defeat in the 1920 elections and the Asia Minor disaster. A biography of the former Greek prime minister Eleftherios Venizelos and the recreation of his acts and the political and social climate in Greece from 1910 to 1927.

Manousos is the biggest child of a poor and crowded family living in the province. After finishing his term, he decides to work in Athens to help his mother.
