This wacky musical comedy builds on absurd ideas, parodic humour and many variously subverted references to famous...

Fifty-year-old Ondřej Bozděch delivers coal around Prague's Žižkov district and he loves it more than anything. He has spent his whole life here and knows all the cellars. He lives his ordinary life among the Žižkov tenement houses, enjoying the joys and sorrows of his teenage daughter Markéta and his restless son Ondra. His best friend is his driver Karel, a former mathematician who once had to leave his job at a research institute for political reasons. Although Karel is an engineer and a completely different person than the straightforward Ondrej, he has become almost a member of the Bozděch family over time. But times are changing. The old houses of Žižkov disappear one by one, Markéta has to get married and Karel is offered to return to his original profession. Ondřej has to stop and think about what kind of life he is living...

Two people scarred by a wartime past meet again years later during an archaeological dig. But the silent, inaccessible man in particular is reluctant to admit to anyone his harrowing experiences in a Nazi concentration camp, where he was the subject of horrific medical experiments.

Story of a high-schooler who fails to gain a place at university and necessarily finds herself having to take a job behind the counter at a buffet.

Helena Vondráčková and Lubomír Lipský in an almost criminal ballad... The director of a company in a district town leaves for a business trip to Prague. He stops a charming young hitchhiker and she lures him to the water by the forest. In an unexpected moment, she disappears with his wallet, clothes and car. The director and his driver must continue on foot. Meanwhile, the clever lady is already standing on the road again, looking for the next victim... A charming "musical ballad" based on verse dialogues parodying K. J. Erben's ballads and well-known songs.
