Wai Lae Hmway Kyway Lae Hmway is a 1994 Burmese military-drama film starring Kyaw Hein, Dwe, Myint Myint Khine and Tint Tint Tun. Kyaw Hein won the Best Supporting Actor Award in 1994 Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards for this film.

Set against a rural backdrop, the film portrays the world of gangsters, exploring themes of loyalty, betrayal, and revenge through a blend of action and drama with unexpected twists and turns.

The story revolves around two young men who share the same birthday, birth month, and zodiac sign, yet come from vastly different backgrounds. One is extremely wealthy while the other is very poor. Despite their differences, both are equally proud and constantly compete with each other, never willing to admit defeat, leading to endless rivalry and conflicts between them.

Mi Thein Kywe, a simple girl, lives in a small village. She is an orphan and is brought up by a distant aunt for whom she has to sell fish. One day a rich university student passes through the village and falls in love with her. He promises her the earth, but when his parents turn up, they buy her off with minor compensation. Later the girl marries a rich ex-monk who dies of a heart-attack after six months. Then she buys a restaurant and falls in love with the musician Ko Thet. This relationship runs aground too. As Mi Thein Kywe gets richer, her need for a suitable spouse grows too. Will she find one?

International businessman U Kant Aung has a son named Thawy Thit. U Kant Aung family is well to do and rich. But Thawy Thit is not interested in his father’s businesses, he rather uses his father’s wealth and look up to the advancement of the western countries.
