The story of two teenage girls who discover they were accidentally switched as newborns in the hospital. Bay Kennish grew up in a wealthy family with two parents and a brother, while Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hearing at an early age due to a case of meningitis, grew up with a single mother in a working-class neighborhood. Things come to a dramatic head when both families meet and struggle to learn how to live together for the sake of the girls.

In the not-too-distant future, the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest struggle to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who suddenly comes into a fortune of time finds himself on the run from a corrupt police force known as the "time keepers".

After Cara's friends give her a new look for a night out during the holidays, she has a romantic encounter with a man on an elevator, only to find out he's dating her overbearing boss.

As a series of mysterious murders plague nearby hotels and expos, growing suspicion surrounds a woman whose dark past and erratic behavior threaten to expose her dangerous secrets.

The matriarch of a family calls all her children home for Christmas, but this will be a vacation full of surprises as lovers bond and family members collide.
