A woman begins to realise that there is something seriously dysfunctional about her fiancé's family.

After a 13-year-old student disappears without a trace for a week and suddenly reappears, his mother and teachers are confronted with existential questions that change their whole view of life.

Nico, a nine-year-old child witnesses a gruesome murder in an abandoned village and tells his mother. The woman goes to the police, but when officials get to the scene, someone has erased all traces of the crime, including the corpse. The officers then question the version of the child.
