In Pietrasanta all are excited for the annual party of summer end. Here we find four characters: Merigo, a naive guy passionate of bike; Pierre, son of the mayor; Simone, a pestiferous kid; Mario, lifeguard of "Bagnomaria".

Wayne Marshall conducts the Orchestra and Choir of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. Joining them are Fabrizio Bosso and Petra Magoni. The program includes Wynton Marsalis’s “Swing Symphony” and Duke Ellington’s “Sacred Concerts.”

Pippo is a stage director who visits a refugee center to see how the refugees spend their days, in a sort of limbo made up of painful memories and fears for the future. Little by little, the refugees open their hearts to the director and tell him their stories, some of which will be in this film, others staying secret. In the end, the idea of staging the Gospel takes shape, as incarnated in these individuals, who inevitably find themselves key players in a new age.

"The Magic Flute" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is revisited through the music and the worldwide influences of the multi-ethnic Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio.
