TV adaptation of Michael Thalheimer's production at the Deutsches Theater Berlin.

The movie's plot is based on the true story of a group of young computer hackers from Hannover, Germany. In the late 1980s the orphaned Karl Koch invests his heritage in a flat and a home computer. At first he dials up to bulletin boards to discuss conspiracy theories inspired by his favorite novel, R.A. Wilson's "Illuminatus", but soon he and his friend David start breaking into government and military computers. Pepe, one of Karl's rather criminal acquaintances senses that there is money in computer cracking - he travels to east Berlin and tries to contact the KGB.

Winter 1968. Historian Dr. Dallow is released from prison. He is still trying to cope with and understand why he was put behind bars for 21 months for defamation of the state. His supposed "crime:" for five minutes he accompanied a cabaret chanson on the piano. The film shows what "ordinary socialism" was like, letting the audience feel the threat under which the people in the GDR had to live over many years.

A small town shortly before the end of the GDR: 15-year-old Ulla lives with her mother in a dilapidated old building where not even the electricity works properly. Economy of scarcity and national bankruptcy are visible everywhere. Only higher party comrades live in the lap of luxury. When Ulla meets Winfried after a summer bathing trip, the two fall in love. Winfried is the son of an influential general director and owns things from West Germany that others only dream of: a computer, a games console, a walkman. On an excursion with her biology class, the high school student discovers that a dacha is being built in the middle of the nature reserve and the creek has been dammed. Winfried's father turns out to be the culprit, but the mayor is on his side. Ulla rebels against this environmental destruction connected to political corruption and organizes a protest. Her activism not only endangers her own future, but also her first great love.

Johanna is a dedicated female scientist in a near-future world. Her research team develops a drug called "Petersein masculinum 199," capable of transforming a woman into a man. Driven by scientific curiosity and an unrequited love for her cold project leader, Professor Peters, Johanna volunteers as the first human test subject.The chemical process succeeds, and she becomes a man named Johann Anders. However, the physical triumph quickly turns into a psychological crisis. As Johann, she experiences the world from a male perspective and is shocked by what she finds. The men around her live in a world of emotional detachment, power struggles, and casual sexism.When Johann sees how the Professor emotionally mistreats his own daughter, the illusion shatters. Horrified by the lack of empathy required to thrive in this patriarchal society, Johann ends the experiment on day 29. She chooses to change back into a woman, rejecting the toxic male world.

"Route Casanova" is how people call the train driver Roland Diesler, as a love awaits him at almost every station. His colleague even has to carry out a plan extra so that there are no collisions between his rendezvous. However, when Roland looks at Ulla, the daughter of the station manager Bünau, this and father Diesler step in. They change the rosters of the two turtle doves so that they cannot see each other. But can the young couple be stopped by it?
