Christian is visiting his home village with his fiancée allegedly to look at churches to get married in, after living in the south for many years. But what are the true reasons for the visit? This is the story about the time before she came, after he left and everything that is untold in between that.

Susanne is visiting with her two daughters, and starts a new collaboration with the dramaturg Tor. Her daughters gets involved with choreographers Toon And Thomas who is experimenting on a new performance project, while the artist couple Viktor and Damla is making a video about a troll in the forest.

This documentary follows Martin Otterbeck as he carries forward the ideas of the beloved humanist Per Fugelli and his wife Charlotte, through his work transforming an old water tower into a space for contemplation and reflection.
