A feature-length documentary about François Cavanna—creator of the publications Charlie Hebdo and Hara-Kiri—who passed away on January 29, 2014. His influence on several generations of writers, journalists, and comedians is far too little known. While older audiences are aware that he co-founded Hara-Kiri and Charlie Hebdo with Choron, the dozens of books and collections he wrote or contributed to remain largely unfamiliar. People chiefly remember his early autobiographical works—such as *Les Ritals*, *Les Russkoffs*, and *Bête et méchant*—while overlooking his historical novels, encyclopedias, and polemical writings like *Stop crève…* The film draws on interviews with Cavanna conducted shortly before his death, forgotten archival footage, and previously unheard testimonies from figures such as Siné, Willem, Delfeil de Ton, and Sylvie Caster.

In the 1980s, young people of North African descent born in France and a priest from the Lyon suburbs organized the "March of the Beurs." Launched on October 15, 1983, by seventeen people from the La Cayolle neighborhood in Marseille following a racist crime, the march concluded two months later—on December 3—on the streets of Paris, with 100,000 participants. This movement demanded equal rights. Was their cry heard?

On December 17, 2012, Maureen Kearney was found at home, tied to a chair with the letter "A" carved into her abdomen and a knife handle forced into her vagina. Was this rape linked to her work as a union representative at Areva? At the time, she was locked in a battle with management to block technology transfers between France and China; she found herself caught in the eye of a political storm involving the French state, set against the backdrop of a rivalry between two French industrial giants: Areva and EDF. This documentary serves as a counter-investigation into the Maureen Kearney affair—a complex political and legal saga that has shaken the nuclear industry from 2012 to the present day.

Annette's Life poster
10.0

At just 19 years old, in 1942, Anne Beaumanoir had already experienced so much: involved in the clandestine communist youth movement, she had begun medical studies, secretly distributed parcels, saved Jewish children, changed her identity, lost her first love, and narrowly escaped death several times. Twelve years later, as a courier for the FLN (National Liberation Front), she was sentenced by France to 10 years in prison for terrorism, but fled to Algeria where she became the principal advisor to the Minister of Health under Ben Bella. Until the military coup, she went to Switzerland where she would head the neurophysiology and epileptology division of the Geneva University Hospital for 26 years. Through the eyes of Annette, witnesses, and rediscovered friends, this film recounts Algeria, France and its litany of buried tragedies, racism, and the fight for freedom and independence. Annette ultimately instills in us a necessary and difficult-to-define virtue: courage.

La France en Vrai - Sugar poster

Filmed behind closed doors in a castle, five young women aged 19 to 27 talk about how they became "sugar babies." This term refers to young women who agree to accompany older, often wealthy men in exchange for cash, gifts, or paid rent. Is this a mutually beneficial arrangement or disguised prostitution? Specialized dating sites exist, avoiding any reference to sex, even though it is an important part of the relationship. With courage, these five women candidly describe what their lives as "sugar babies" are like.
