Shortly before his death, bassist Eduard Haken (1910–1996) recorded Antonín Dvořák's "Biblical Songs" with the organ at St. James' Church. Despite his advanced age, he was in top vocal form. The music program entitled Skrýše a skála (Hiding Place and Rock) – enriched with quotations from the Bible interpreted by Marek Eben and Radovan Lukavský – was then realized in a sublime artistic form on Czech Television by director František Filip (1930–2021).

Boccaccio's famous Decameron brings ten beautiful stories that were told to pass the time by those who escaped from certain death from Florence when the plague spread there in 1348. The four medieval stories were adapted by director Zdeněk Zelenka as a television love cycle. The director entrusted the main role in this comedy to Viktor Preiss. His horse trader is married, but he likes to arrange rendezvous with various women on his travels. It is no wonder that he becomes the target of jokes from his pub buddies, during various escapades he ends up among murderers and in the tomb of a rich nobleman, but he manages to resolve all situations with humor.

Against the petty, which places its own glory above honest work and honest human relationships. Čapek's Foltýn is from the family of eternally recurring dramatic themes about the conflict between talent and untalent, soundness and dilettancy, vocation and parasitism, of all kinds.

When three wandering musicians met the Lord of the Forest, they hardly thought of what good it would do them. They certainly began to prosper from that time on. They obtained peas, which made them invisible, and a flask of water, which canceled the spell of invisibility. Before long, they were lucky enough to put these gifts to good use. A mail truck is robbed near the small town of Kostelec, during which the perpetrators steal CZK 2.5 million. The local police fail to solve the case. After some time, a young and capable lieutenant Charvát arrives from the Prague CID. While he is getting acquainted with the circumstances of the case and the evidence found, he makes friends with the handsome Květa, the daughter of the hostel manager Weisse. The complicated relationship that develops between the two lovers is in no way comparable to the complexity of the criminal case that brought Charvat to Kostelec. Things get even more complicated when someone murders Malásek, a local brawler and drunkard, with a shotgun. He is actually Květa's husband. And his death, according to Charvat, is connected to the mail robbery...
