Magnus Betnér

For over twenty-five years, Magnus Betnér has heckled, cursed and sparred with the Swedish celebrity elite. Sometimes with a light pat on the cheek, sometimes with razor-sharp satire. In 2024, Magnus Betnér turns 50 and now the roles are reversed. Together with some of his "best" friends in the industry, you are welcomed to Varberg's theater for an evening where Magnus Betnér is the one who gets to receive both verbal caresses and punches in MAGNUS BETNÉRS FIFTY-YEAR ROAST! To give back, Magnus has invited some of the sharpest (and meanest) humor pens in Sweden. Well-known comedians mixed with faces more unknown to the audience, all with one thing in common: they know Magnus better than almost anyone else. Corpses must be dug up, weaknesses must be exposed and the fine qualities that Magnus possesses must be highlighted. To a minimum.

Eight comedians roast each other and the birthday boy, Magnus Betnér, in the funniest, meanest, crudest, and most loving way they can.

The struggling comedian Mattias tries to get a spot at the local club but is not allowed on stage. When his Idol Håkan Gille shows up Mattias decides to thank him for all the support he's given him but it was all a misunderstanding.

New special filmed in Vasa, Finland 2022

Stand-up special with Nisse Hallberg and Magnus Betnér.

RAW Comedy Club turns 20 and this is celebrated with a grand stand-up show in the Avicii Arena. Several of Sweden's most beloved comedians take the stage, including Måns Möller, Özz Nujen, Babben Larsson, Elina Du Rietz, Messiah Hallberg and others, to offer a great comedy show. Over 11,000 in the audience have a hard time keeping from laughing in what is the biggest stand-up show, so far, in Sweden.

Starting 2021 with a true cold-open, Magnus Betnér's latest special is not your average stand-up performance. Shot in a continuous take during a walk through western Stockholm, it's a creative way to deliver the usual sarcastic comedy in a year plagued by social distancing.

13 Dec 2019 a gig was recorded to become a new special. It happened. The main camera did not deliver and the sound went awry. BUT now I have restored the sound to an acceptable level and came up with the brilliant idea to let Nils Mattsson animate pieces of it. The material is partly released in other versions in my specials "work from home" and "Diagnosis" but it is a damn lot previously unreleased as well so I hope you will like it and above all check out the last 20 minutes which I really like.

Round off this piss year with a new special

Finally a new special! 40 steaming fresh minutes about Corona and the last six months' tour.

During an unfortunate series of events, a friend of Kung Fury is assassinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time, Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer. Kung Fury decides to travel back in time to Nazi Germany in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all.

“16 days ago, i was on stage at a sold out Chinateatern, recording this special. Today, you get to see the result. Amazing! To make this happen, I have turned down deals from television networks and invested SEK 500.000 of my own money. I want this to be available to my fans as cheap and as fast as possible. Please don’t pirate this film. I really want this to work and i do want to make more films available this way. Btw, 49kr equals approx. USD 7,3 or EUR 5,5″

No need for a larger presentation. Between them, hundreds of TV shows, an international standup career, Summer in P1, one Kristall, countless debates, several rounds of Sweden on tour, a number of awards such as the comedy of the year, successful radio shows, the year's hot and award-winning podcasts. Now they go together to avoid loneliness on the roads. With standup as a constant starting point, the two biggest satirics on the Swedish scene now form an unbeatable duo where they get racism, zombies and review the reviewers. Naked, hard and honest, they dissect our contemporary. Two comedians who ignore trends and allow society to set the agenda rather than the audience. No matter whether they upset or touch, nobody will leave the show untouched.

Fearless, straight and hard as a punch in the face. At last, one of Sweden's most acclaimed comedian back with brand new material. The show "Word of Life" is the most comprehensive tour some comic done in Sweden and has been sold out everything from Malmo to Kiruna. Magnus Betnér continues to question, discuss, and driving with today's society in a way that both affects and upsets. The show has been shown on Channel 5, and is now being released on DVD and provides 110 minutes not previously seen material + 46 minutes bonus material!

Stuff from two Edingburgh Fringe shows mixed together with some new things into a never before released special filmed in Tallinn late 2014

May 21, Magnus Betnér made his last Stockholm gig for a very long time and that show was recorded for a special broadcast on Viaplay. The material is not included in any of his 9 previous specials and is written under the Work in Progress and A Shame for Sweden 2 tour.

Magnus Betnér is one of Sweden's foremost comedians and social portrayals and now he once again sets himself on stage to give his view on contemporary. He deals with politics, prejudice, religion, PK anxiety, media, Facebook people and black pudding.
