Valentin Rotelli

At the farewell ceremony of a recently deceased friend, a young woman recalls how they met a painter that used their life as a subject for his works. A journey between fiction and reality into the mind of a painter, told by a fictional model. Inspired by the work of Jonathan Delachaux, and the lives, wanderings, and creation of his four characters, Naïma, Johan, Vassili and Arthur.

Eliott, 30, is sent to Alaska for maintenance work on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, which crosses the state from north to south. Confronted with the grandeur of the wild expanses, Eliott gradually loses his grip. His work-related trip becomes a rite-of-passage adventure, the reason for which might lie closer to madness than he could ever have imagined.

Four peoplebound by the common thread of a deeply personal losstake to the road at a pivotal moment in their lives, hoping to move ahead. Along the way they unexpectedly intersect with one anotherthe result of which forever alters their understanding of brotherhood, friendship, and love.
