Slovakia, on the eve of the outbreak of World War II. The family of the young Jewish Martin Friedmann gathers to celebrate his bar mitzvah and make a solemn promise that they will all meet again a year later around the same table; but the storms of war and anti-Semitic fanaticism will lead each of them down very different paths.

A contemporary tragicomedy from a modern city about disintegration of relationship, disintegration of a marriage, and maybe also about the disappearance of basic rules from decent life. A very black comedy about people in their 40ies who already have money, but still listen to rock and roll, exchanging drugs for mobile phones.

Spring 1939. The bishop of Banska Bystrica learns that the Antichrist was born in the village of Piargy, which had been buried by an avalanche a few days earlier.

Josef is a writer aged sixty, who thinks that nothing can surprise him any more. One evening, though, his phone rings and he finds himself caught up in a series of events that turn his world upside-down. His best friend – also a writer – tries to commit suicide; his young girlfriend Katka tells him she’s pregnant; and the man with hare ears – his alter ego from one of his stories – appears to him in everyday situations.

A new man comes into the world and his fate is watched over by three female judges. One of them endows him with exceptional qualities, the second puts many obstacles in his way and the third advises him how he can find his happiness in life in spite of everything. But what happens if one of the women judges fails in her task? In a fairy tale story full of suspense, humour and surprises, the kind and wise girl Johanka finds out for herself... There will be a stubborn prince, an unjust and greedy uncle, or a forgetful fairy Tea, but most of all a lot of love, which, as it happens in fairy tales, will help Johanna to overcome almost all the obstacles of fate.

Christoffer and Maja's trip to Prague to bring back Chistoffer's deceased father, evolves into the story of a break-up. With the dead father lurking in the background, secrets gradually emerge threatening to destroy their marriage.

Vojtech is going through a mid-life crisis. It seems to him that he is unnecessary in this world in every respect. He has lost his wife, his job, he has no contact with his family. His neighbour Laco, a peculiar taxi driver, becomes his guide through life. However, their trips usually end in fiasco. Vojtech wants to live a normal life, but his inability to face the hectic modern times brings many comedy plots. He cannot enjoy the company of easy women, his daily attempts at alcoholic intoxication and advice on how to pick up a woman also end in disaster. However, he doesn't give up and believes that he will break his bad luck.

The loose sequel to the film "Pásla kone na betóne" returns to the familiar heroes after some time. The communist dictatorship is no longer raging and capitalism is penetrating even the remote corners of Slovakia. As it turns out, however, people don't change much over time, and their joys and worries are still the same. The tragicomic story depicts the vicissitudes of Johanna's new relationship with brewery manager Janko Kvašný, the unhappy marriage of her daughter Paulina and life in the new social conditions in an eastern Slovak village.

The audition for the main girl character in the musical for youth attracts various adetepts.And so, on stage and backstage, girls of different types and characters meet, who otherwise might never have met.In the struggle to win the role, their negative but also positive character traits are manifested.There is a girl who is brought up by the street, a girl from a good family,who fulfils the ambitions of a failed mother, a girl loner, a pair of inseparable friends who quarrel for the first time in their lives...All this theatrical world is watched over by a very aspiring director and her assistant. The film tells a thrilling, humorous and emotional story of a couple of young people who are brought together by chance on a pilgrimage through the city and the Danube countryside. A young convict on the run from prison is accidentally crossed by a young girl whom he kidnaps. However, the girl develops a special relationship with her captor, gradually transforming him from a hostage into a fellow prisoner. Nor has she experienced much good in her short life.
