Teacher Majer is lured by his friend to an old farmhouse, where a hitman hired by the last surviving member of the Dostál family is waiting for him. Meanwhile, everyone is waiting for Majer at the newly opened school, which he is supposed to manage. All of his former students wait in vain for Majer; he never arrives. No one understands what has happened, and above all, where the man is on whom they are now completely dependent, each for a different reason. They begin to fear that something has happened to Majer, and so the four “bravest” among them decide to find him.

The military airfield crew are not allowed to leave the area because alert level two has been declared. All walks have been cancelled and Private Standa Urban is looking forward to meeting his girlfriend who has come to visit him. His creditor wants the money back and starts to threaten Veronica. Her mother will not protect her since she is always drunk. Thus, the young girl must leave home and hide far away. On her journey she meets many characters. Some of them are comic, others are rather tragicomic. College student Marta decides to seal her relationship with Zdeněk with a secret wedding. All that remains is to announce this fact to both parents. The bride's parents are a very interesting couple - the strict mother, a teacher, is a big stickler for order, the father, whom the tender half affectionately calls "daddy", doesn't bother with anything and spends his time composing poems. The groom's parents are currently most concerned with how to get their daughter Marcela married in the most favorable way possible, whose idol in life is the singer Jiří Korn.

In this fairy-tale comedy, a clumsy second-rate wizard, Rumburak, gets stuck in the world of humans. He has forgotten the spell that allows him to return to his home fairyland. His only joy is watching the figure skater Helen, whom he would like to woo. His hopes of returning to fairyland dawn when he discovers a computer in a research institute that could generate the lost spell.

In the 1950s, Ludvik Jahn was expelled from the Communist Party and the University by his fellow students, because of a politically incorrect note he sent to his girlfriend. Fifteen years later, he tries to get his revenge by seducing Helena, the wife of one of his accusers.
