Teacher Majer is released from prison under an amnesty. His elementary school classmate Ivan, who lives in a Roma ghetto, takes him into his home. Majer has no family. He has no one left, so he welcomes Ivan's offer. Ivan tells Majer that he has decided to help him mainly because he needs to reopen the school where Majer used to teach and briefly served as principal. Living in the ghetto, Ivan is familiar with the problems of his community and knows that the closure of their beloved school has not been good for them. Majer begins to reach out to his former colleagues and, above all, his students to ask for their help. Many of his students also have children of their own. He experiences a number of comical situations with them. However, he has no idea that he is still being watched by Dostál, the eldest member of the mafia family, who knows that Majer has been released and decides to avenge his son and grandson.

Teacher Majer is lured by his friend to an old farmhouse, where a hitman hired by the last surviving member of the Dostál family is waiting for him. Meanwhile, everyone is waiting for Majer at the newly opened school, which he is supposed to manage. All of his former students wait in vain for Majer; he never arrives. No one understands what has happened, and above all, where the man is on whom they are now completely dependent, each for a different reason. They begin to fear that something has happened to Majer, and so the four “bravest” among them decide to find him.

The story, set mainly in the picturesque surroundings of a First Republic swimming pool, offers many surprises in the form of unexpected performances by acting and singing stars, who pay tribute to the lady of Czech swing.

Karas immediately suspects something is amiss in the deaths of the "bastards" and also begins to focus on Majer, who is now the school principal.

The new film not only deals with the murder of a psychologist, reminiscent in some respects of a deviant crime with bizarre ritual elements. We also follow the fate of Drobný, a recently released prisoner who is convinced that he has a profound reason to hate the psychologist and take revenge on her. Gradually, he finds himself in the position of a cornered animal, which only intensifies his desire for harsh retribution. The first storyline of the film is purely detective-like, while Drobný's story is more in the style of a gritty crime thriller.

The short stories about marriage that Vít Olmer wrote for Playboy magazine when Arnošt Lustig was its editor-in-chief are witty, often with absurd punchlines, and clearly show that the author is a keen observer of life around us. During the change of functions in the Fortuna medical ceramics company, Bohouš Fisher, an independent clerk, became deputy director of the company against his will. As a result, he is forced to make even greater compromises than before. He takes part in unnecessary meetings for which he has to raise money from company funds because of his position, or he jocularly solves a "work" accident of two employees who were engaged in love games instead of work. It's not much better in his private life. He would like to do some meaningful work, like building a stove.

College student Marta decides to seal her relationship with Zdeněk with a secret wedding. All that remains is to announce this fact to both parents. The bride's parents are a very interesting couple - the strict mother, a teacher, is a big stickler for order, the father, whom the tender half affectionately calls "daddy", doesn't bother with anything and spends his time composing poems. The groom's parents are currently most concerned with how to get their daughter Marcela married in the most favorable way possible, whose idol in life is the singer Jiří Korn.

The 50th anniversary of the Barrandov studios was celebrated with a spectacular show: many directors and other important people gathered in the expensive decorations of the Variety Theatre auditorium (built for the Circus Humberto series). It's the same school as his son visiting. The lives both students are connecting together. The son must teach the math and physics his own father. The father getting to know, that the life of the students is not simple as he supposed.

A stout middle-aged physician whose marriage has come apart establishes a practice in a small town. Gradually he's drawn into the lives of his patients—a childless couple, a pregnant girl with a stern mother, the son of a duck farmer—and each relationship reveals a bit more about him and the idyllic but insular community.

Dana Martinová, a young woman of loose morals, dies at the hands of a mentally unstable young man, Pavel Zach. In a fit of jealousy, he could not restrain himself and killed the girl with a blow to the head. The police find the corpse thanks to Dana's friend Eva Simonova.
